Elementary Informational Technology Teacher
The Allegheny Valley School District seeks an innovative, passionate business, computer and information technology teacher who will extend our students’ learning beyond the classroom with real-world opportunities.
The technology/business teacher will provide comprehensive instruction aligned with the PA Academic Standards for Business and Technology. This candidate must actively seek possibilities for student success as well as personalized learning and be an advocate for underserved students who continuously seeks equitable experiences for all students. The ideal candidate is open-minded, confident about their craft, willing to take smart risks, and will continually attempt cutting-edge instructional practices.
The Allegheny Valley School District expects this person to be knowledgeable in data fluency, coding, Google Classroom, and be an integral part of an elementary cyberlearning program. Also, the School District encourages experience with design thinking or with prototyping so entrepreneurship is embedded within the course context. The business/technology teacher will excitedly support teachers and staff within these fields. Subsequently, the elementary business/technology teacher must possess a knack for building relationships with neighboring or global businesses and classrooms.

Administrative Assistant for Centralized Student Informaiton Management -
The Allegheny Valley School Districts is seeking applications for an Administrative Assistant for Centralized Student Information Management. This position deals with sensitive information and confidentiality is expected. The main job goal is to provide accurate and timely reporting primarily for student information management for state and local reporting and to assist with the PIMS collections, including running accuracy reports for PIMS submissions. This position is also responsible to maintain centralized enrollment for the district which includes all student registrations and withdrawals. Successful candidate must possess a High School Diploma. Associate Degree or higher is preferred. Prior school district experience is a plus. The individual must also be detail oriented, a motivated self-starter, have excellent planning skills, must be proficient in Microsoft Office Products, and must effectively communicate with others. Food Service Positions -
The Allegheny Valley School District Food Service Department has positions available. If you desire a part-time or substitute position and can
work Monday through Friday, approximately four to five hours per day, we would like to talk to you. Team players are needed to help keep our
fast-paced school cafeterias performing smoothly and efficiently.
Job Description and Duties:
- Part-time work may include 20-25 hours per week
- Hours range from 7am – 2pm (most shifts range from 9am to 1:30pm)
- Four to five hour daily shifts
- Weekends, nights, holidays, and summer months off (school calendar year)
- Cleaning, dishwashing, basic food preparation, meal serving, and or computer point-of-sale cashiering
- No experience needed
- Free training and t-shirt uniform provided
