The Allegheny Valley School District’s Elementary Student Assistance Program (ESAP) functions throughout the school year at Acmetonia. A team of professionals are available to assist at-risk students who are experiencing difficulties in the areas of academics, attendance, health, or behavior. The ESAP team is made up of specially trained teachers, administrators, the school counselor, as well as an ESAP liaison from Wesley Family Services and are intended to work closely with families and draw on the expertise of their members to design and implement intervention strategies for student success. Students can be referred to ESAP by parents/guardians or school personnel. Our goal is to work with you and offer support and recommendations for your son/daughter. Where barriers are beyond the scope of the school, the team can provide information so families may access community resources.
More information regarding the ESAP procedures and interventions will be provided to parents of students referred into the process by a professional staff member. The Elementary Student Assistance Program is a confidential place to turn for help and support. For additional information, place contact the elementary school guidance counselor or the building principal.
