Students are reminded that they are to be in the building by 7:40 a.m. when the warning bell rings.
Policy for Family Educational Trip and Educational Trips or Tours (Vacations, Cheerleaders, Sports, etc.):Students that plan to be absent from school for
any kind of trip or tour, even if only for one day, will be required to obtain prior permission from the principal.Vacation
forms are available in the main office; forms should be completed and returned to the main office at least one week prior to the trip.
Attention Seniors: Completed E-portfolios are due January 31.Please make sure the following documents are housed in your shared folder: Resume, References,
Cover Letter, and Job Shadow Reflection.
Any students in grades 7-12 who are interested in auditioning for the spring musical are encouraged to sign up in the office.
Attention any student in grades 9-12 interested in global issues: The World Affairs Council of Pittsburgh has a FREE Global Leadership Certificate Program.
The majority of the curriculum is online with a few face-to-face events in Pittsburgh. For more information, either see Ms. Mellon or email her at
firstname.lastname@example.org. The deadline for application is February 29th!
Attention Juniors in good academic standing: The local FBI is hosting a Teen Academy Day on March 24th for students interested in a career in law enforcement
with a focus on the following specialties: online communication platforms, federal law violations, FBI requirements for employment, FBI domestic roles,
and FBI international roles. The day is free, but students must complete an application and write a two page essay. The application and the essay must
be completed by January 31st for consideration for this competitive program. Please see Mrs. Mellon if you are interested.
Students going on college visits must bring a letter on the college letterhead paper to the attendance office to be recorded as an excused absence.
Please check the bulletin boards by the cafeteria for job opportunities and scholarship information.
NHS students are available to tutor after school 2:30-3:00.Sign-ups are in Guidance for a tutor.
There will be no 7th or 8th grade boys’ basketball practice after school today.
