Students are reminded that they are to be in the building by 7:40 a.m. when the warning bell rings.
Policy for Family Educational Trip and Educational Trips or Tours (Vacations, Cheerleaders, Sports, etc.):Students that plan to be absent from school for
any kind of trip or tour, even if only for one day, will be required to obtain prior permission from the principal.Vacation
forms are available in the main office; forms should be completed and returned to the main office at least one week prior to the trip.
School calendars are available in the main office.
Attention students in grades 9-12: Are you interested in Global issues? Do you enjoy learning about other cultures? Email Mrs. Mellon at firstname.lastname@example.org to learn about a free certification program to learn about global studies. There is a required online class component.
Attention students in grades 9-12: The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society sponsors a fundraising competition each year for high school students. In addition
to helping cure these diseases, students have a possibility of winning scholarships. See Mrs. Mellon if this interests you. The Pittsburgh region has
some of the highest rates of children diagnosed with leukemia or lymphoma. You are helping people in our region.
There will be a Jr. High and Sr. High Art Club meeting after school Monday in Ms. Charlton’s art room.
Students going on college visits must bring a letter on the college letterhead paper to the attendance office to be recorded as an excused absence.

NHS students are available to tutor after school 2:30-3:00.Sign-ups are in Guidance for a tutor.

Veterans of Foreign Wars – The Voice of Democracy offering scholarships in varying amounts; the top scholarship is $30,000.Requirements are: must be a

Prudential Spirit of Community Awards is offering a $1,000 scholarship.This scholarship is designed for students who have made meaningful contributions

Berkshire Hathaway is offering a scholarship for $1000.00 per year for 4 years.This scholarship is for students planning on attending a trade school OR

There will be a free basketball clinic at the high school (McGhee Fieldhouse and MPR) on Monday, September 23 from 6:00 to 8:15 p.m. for boys and girls in grades 3 thru 9. Registration is not necessary.
