Attention Juniors and Seniors: It is officially that time of year! The Junior-Senior Prom - “Head Over Boots” - will take place on Friday, May 11 at Lingrow Farm from 7:00-11:00 p.m. Tickets for this event cost $50 and will be on sale in “B” and “C” lunches on Wednesday, April 25 and Thursday, April 26 ONLY! Please take note that only cash (exact change) and checks (made payable to “SHS Activity Fund”) will be accepted. If you are planning to attend this year’s prom with a person from another school district, please pick up a guest pass in the main office and get it turned in ASAP! Additional important prom information is posted in various classrooms throughout the building. Please direct any questions to Ms. Yaksich.
On Friday, April 27th, the District Emergency Management Committee, in conjunction with local Emergency Management Coordinators and law enforcement
agencies, has planned an Active Shooter Emergency Drill at Springdale Jr-Sr High School.This is a Friday during a teacher Inservice day.This is only
a DRILL to provide training and practice in the case of an actual accident.To carry out the drill, student volunteers may be “tagged for injuries”,
ride in ambulances, etc.We are looking for students in the morning.If you are interested, please sign up in the front office with Mrs. Cole.We are
looking for help and wanting our students to be part of the active shooting drill.
Attention students:there are many opportunities to expand your knowledge this summer. Here is a quick summary:Girls (entering 6th through 9th grade) STEAM Camp at Plum HS - $25 - 4 six hour days - Register by May 1st; Robert Morris Camps - Animatronics, Electro-Optics, Girls STEM
Research, Music and STEM Camp; Phipps Conservatory - Looking for volunteers ages 16-18 to help aspire appreciation in nature in young children.There
are information papers in the cafe by the restroom sign-out sheet. You can see Mrs. Mellon for additional information.

Malcolm M. Prine WPFOA Scholarship Fund – is dedicated to providing financial assistance to football student/athletes who attend the high
schools for which our association officiates. For 2018, they will award scholarships in the amount of $14,000 each, payable to the school of the recipient’s
choice, at $3,500 per semester for the student’s first four (4) semesters (commencing with the fall 2018 semester). For more information, criteria

Students are reminded to drop off cafeteria pre-payments in the main office or in the cafeteria during breakfast so as not to slow down the serving lines during lunch.
