This morning, Governor Wolf announced the closure of all Pennsylvania school districts for the remainder of the 2019-2020 year. The decision was made in
consultation with the Departments of Education and Health, based on the most recent information regarding COVID-19 and the safety and welfare of students,
staff, and the community.
The Allegheny Valley School District will provide additional information next week about online learning, events, and other changes that students and
parents can expect for the remaining weeks of the school year.
We hope the community understands how difficult this decision is for all of us; we would love to have our students back in school. However, following
the decision of the Governor is the best alternative for the health of students, staff, and community.
