The Allegheny Valley School District is excited to announce it is one of 16 groups selected - out of more than 140 applications from schools, non-profits,
and community organizations in the Western PA-West Virginia area - as a Learning Design Cohort.
The District will be partnered with internationally renowned architects from the National Design Alliance to develop ideas and design plans to reconfigure
the high school Library and Rachel Carson Conference room spaces.
The project will champion student voice by letting a student design team be the driving force. Once completed, the design cohorts teams will serve
as a regional model for how spaces can be redesigned to re-imagine and re-make learning. The grant for the project is worth $50,000. Way to go
